About Caitie

Caitie Crowley is a Catholic millennial who loves creating stories, designing websites, and inspiring others to seek the truth.

She holds a Master of Science in Information Design and Strategy with a Content Strategy Concentration (Summa Cum Laude) from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a Social Media Concentration and a Minor in Management and Leadership (Magna Cum Laude) from Bradley University.

Currently, Caitie is an adjunct business management professor at Bradley University and a freelance writer. This fall she is teaching ML 615 – Applied Leadership – for graduate level students. She researched and designed this course to include reading, self-reflection exercises, online discussion boards, in-person learning sessions, and the creation of a comprehensive leadership development plan. Caitie also teaches ML 350 - Managing for Results in Organizations - in the spring semester. It is a core business curriculum class for juniors where she prepares and presents weekly lectures and incorporates TED Talk videos, individual reflections, researching and strategizing in pairs, and team presentations to help facilitate learning and to appeal to various learning styles by using this multi-channeled approach.

Previously, she worked the past six years either working directly for or in service to Caterpillar Inc. and Cat Financial doing a variety of roles including digital marketing, marketing communications, event planning, project management, data analysis, technology consulting, and writing.

Caitie is fun to work with, organized, learns quickly, has great writing skills, focuses on quality and velocity, can partner with a wide variety of internal and external groups, has some great social experience and is just a pleasure to do work with! Most notably, she was the dedicated communicator for three senior level leaders at Cat Financial, including President of Insurance Services, Vice President of Marketing & Services, and Vice President of Aftermarket Solutions. In addition to Caitie’s business acumen, writing skillsets, and creativity, she is also technology savvy and often sought out as a trainer on various software platforms. She was one of eight subject matter experts within all of Caterpillar on Poppulo, has built countless internal websites for Caterpillar within Adobe Equipment Manager and Sharepoint, and analyzed performance metrics on social media content through Spredfast, Facebook Business Manager, and Hootsuite. She has introductory proficiency in SQL and HTML and easily learns new software and platforms as needed.

Additionally, Caitie creates content that is meaningful and drives results. For example, she designed two new newsletter templates and created a new content strategy for the Americas Distribution Services and Marketing (ADSM) division at Caterpillar. This increased the open rate for the leader newsletter by 23% within one week and 30% within two weeks; the employee newsletter open rate increased by 9% within one week.
